Here in El Castillo there is a restaurant called Borders Cafe. It is owned by a very sweet guy with a heartbreaking story. Apparently he's been endlessly harrassed for being gay. I found some pictures and some story on someone else's blog worth clicking on here. He makes, hands down, the best dang smoothies in Central America as far as I am concerned. The chocobanano smoothie has real cacao and bananas so sweet there's no need to add sugar! And he makes a fruit smoothie with orange juice I can feel kicking my cold!
